Getting started
- Add images using drag and drop or file selection. On iPhone and iPad, you can also choose photos.
- Choose JPG, PNG, HEIC, WebP or AVIF and adjust quality and maximum image dimensions.
- Convert, compare the result and export the new files.
Presets
“For Web” uses WebP, up to 1920 pixels and quality 80. “For WhatsApp” uses JPG, up to 1600 pixels and quality 85. Both remove personal metadata and avoid upscaling small images. Actual file size depends on the image and settings.
Common questions
Do my images stay private?
Processing happens on your device. Foldpix does not upload images or require an account. If you choose to export to a cloud folder or share a result, the selected service’s settings and terms apply.
Why did the file get bigger?
A different format or higher quality can create a larger file. Reduce quality or maximum dimensions and inspect the preview. PNG uses lossless compression; a quality slider cannot add lossy compression to PNG.
Which files are supported?
Still images in HEIC, WebP, AVIF, PNG and JPG. Animated and multipage files are not supported. PNG, WebP and AVIF preserve transparency; choose a background colour for JPG and HEIC.
How do I install Foldpix on another device?
Sign in with the same Apple account used for the App Store purchase, then download Foldpix from your purchases. One purchase covers Mac, iPhone and iPad, with no subscription. Requires macOS 14 or iOS/iPadOS 17 or later.
